 | 2024 PWQC Annual Meeting is 8/17. 10:00 AM PHIA Building The Pocasset Water Quality Coalition will hold it’s 4th Annual Meeting Saturday August 17. The usual time, 10:00 AM. the usual place, 100 Circuit Ave. (across from the boat ramp). This will be the most interesting and informative meeting yet!   | Some of the PWQC oysters have arrived in Hen Cove In January PWQC spent $2,000, our biggest expediture evah, on 200,000 oyster seeds. The seeds grow slowly and at a difference paces. This week the first of our little protandric animals have arrived in Hen Cove. Bourne Natural Resources estimates 1/4 to 1/3 of our 200K oysters are now in baskets near the Spit on Patuisset. They are far from full grown but are still starting to filter nuitriants out of the water. We plan to invest in oysters every year so when they are old enough we can harvest them. They need to be 3 years old before any of us can have them for dinner. |
