Thank you, Molly!
Molly Reinhardt, granddaughter of Cathy & Ed O’Sullivan of Pocasset, made a generous donation to the Pocasset Water Quality Coalition (PWQC) today. Molly’s grandparents live across the street from the first of 3 PWQC rain gardens on Circuit Avenue in Pocasset. Molly has been visiting from Connecticut. Rain Garden 1 Complete!
The Pocasset Water Quality Coalition (PWQC) has completed the first of 3 rain gardens, RG1) around the head of Hen Cove. The concept is to filter storm water before it gets into the Cove. The head of Hen Cove has been closed to shellfishing for over 40 years. Caused by septic pollution and storm water. The project, 3 rain gardens, funded by the Southeastern New England Partnership, a division of the EPA, will be completed in October 2025.
A huge thank you to all the local businesses that have made significant contributions to the projects:
Members of the PWQC have provided the labor by volunteering to physically build RG1. Twenty five plus (25+) neighbors and friends spent the better part of 4 days creating, working hard, digging, raking and planting this wonderful project. THANK YOU!!!
